Unboxing 100+ Teambuilding & Icebreaker Activities

Today, we’re going to unbox the Connection Toolkit—and not just to show off what’s inside. I built this kit to make connection easy for educators, facilitators, team leaders, and even the person who’s been voluntold to run a meeting.

Because when I buy something online, what I wish I could do is crawl through the screen, hold it, feel it—actually see what’s in it. Does it feel well-made? Is it worth it?

Well, this is the next best thing. Plus, I’ll share a few practical ideas you can borrow and bring into your own groups right away.

This toolkit is a bundle of our absolute bestsellers all carefully curated and packed into one really nifty little box. Whether you’re looking for fun icebreakers for adults, team building activities for work, or deeper conversations with students, this kit covers it all.

We! Connect Cards: The Absolute Bestseller Deck

The We! Connect Cards were the first thing I ever made, and they’re still by far the most popular. I created them specifically to remove awkward moments and speed up the time it takes people to get into good conversations.

This latest version is better than ever:

  • 60 thoughtfully crafted, color-coded cards
  • Questions on the front, actions on the back
  • Video tutorials and creative ways to use them

The color-coding makes it super easy to navigate:

  • 🟩 Green questions tend to be light and fun
  • 🟦 Blue questions go a little deeper
  • 🟪 Purple questions are like a hug for the introverts in the room (i.e., questions that give folks a moment to think)

These aren’t just silly or goofy icebreakers. They’re real, intentional conversation starters designed to connect people meaningfully. Whether you’re hosting icebreakers for small groups, icebreakers for work meetings, or running group therapy activities, these are flexible and powerful.

We! Engage Cards: Images + Quotes = Better Conversations

Next up: the We! Engage Cards. These are hexagon-shaped cards with quotes on one side and images on the other.

I learned the concept of shielded discussion from facilitator Jennifer Stanchfield. The idea is: “I said it because the card allowed me to.” It creates this beautiful buffer where people can share thoughtfully without having to expose their inner world right off the bat.

Here’s how I use them:

  • I ask a group to choose a card that represents a future they want to create.
  • That image anchors their reflection and makes the conversation stick in their memory way longer than words alone.

You can also use the quote side. When someone shares a quote that resonates, it’s like they’re saying something wise, thoughtful, or vulnerable—but using someone else’s words. Less risk, same reward.

Perfect for icebreakers for teens, college students, or team meetings. The possibilities are endless.

📗 Ask Powerful Questions: Create Conversations that Matter

At the bottom of the box is our bestselling book, Ask Powerful Questions: Create Conversations That Matter.

I co-wrote this with Will, and it’s packed with frameworks and tools we’ve used with thousands of teams and educators. It’s full of simple but powerful shifts that help people ask better questions—and have better conversations.

Flip to any page and find something you can use immediately—whether you’re leading group activities for adults, team building games for work, or planning icebreakers for virtual meetings.

🗺️ Fold-Out Map + Free Masterclass Access

This fold-out map might be my favorite new addition. I created it because every educator and leader I meet wants the same thing: “What’s going to work best for my group?”

So, I pulled together my top nine strategies—ones I’ve used with thousands of people—and dropped them into this map.
On the back? Scan the QR code to access our full Connection Before Content Masterclass.

That’s nine simple, tested exercises you can run from your living room, classroom, or conference stage.

🌐 Bonus: Unlimited Access to playmeo®

Mark Collard, the founder of playmeo, flew in all the way from Australia just so we could team up and bring you this.

There’s a special unique QR code on the back of the fold-out map that gives you free unlimited access to Playmeo’s entire searchable activity database.

That means:

  • Icebreakers
  • Energizers
  • Trust-building exercises
  • Team building activities

The database lets you filter by outcome, group size, time available, or specific skills you want to build. So instead of digging through endless Pinterest pins, you can get the right activity at the right time.

And best of all? These aren’t staged videos. You’ll get to watch real people (not paid actors) doing these activities, so you can see how they actually land in the room.
