The Sandbox, Sanctuary & Skills-Lab You’ve Been Looking For

You know that moment when you meet somebody and just click? You feel like you could sit down for coffee with them for eight hours straight, and when you leave, you think, “That was an awesome human being. I loved spending time with that person.”

In my experience, it’s almost a guarantee that if someone is a professional facilitator, corporate trainer, experiential educator or what I like to call a professional connector, I’ll love hanging out with them. These are the folks responsible for gathering groups of people and leading them. And more often than not, when we leave a conversation, we both feel like our cups have been filled up.

That’s reason number one why I created the Connectors Summit.

Why I Created the Connectors Summit

1. A Sanctuary for Connectors

Many of us work in isolation. Maybe you’re a solopreneur, speaker, author, or facilitator. Maybe you’re the lone member of a learning and development team in a big organization. Or perhaps you’re a school leader driving culture and creating change in your community.

If you identify with being a professional connector, there isn’t really a space dedicated to us. Sure, there are wonderful organizations like the International Association of Facilitators or the Association of Experiential Education, but nothing that creates an umbrella for all connectors, a space less about methodology and more about realness, meaningfulness, and depth of connection.

The Connectors Summit is that sanctuary. And consider this your official invitation to join us.

2. A Skills Lab to Sharpen Your Saw

As someone who spends most of his time leading and creating professional development for others, I realized I wasn’t carving out enough space for my own learning. You know the saying, “The cobbler’s kids go without shoes”? That was me.

Too often, people in learning and development don’t prioritize their own growth. The Connector Summit is my way of changing that, a skills lab where you can sharpen your saw, practice new tools, and apply strategies in real time.

If you’ve ever used my tools, watched the videos, or tried out my strategies, the Connector Summit is your chance to go deep with them and beyond an 8-minute video, into full application.

3. A Sandbox to Experiment and Play

I learn best through experience, and maybe you do too. Early in my career, I co-facilitated a team-building session at a university. At the last minute, my mentor bailed, handed me the reins, and left. I was terrified—but I learned so much by being thrown in.

That’s what the Connector Summit offers: a sandbox where you don’t just hear about activities and exercises, but actually experience them. You’ll get to say, “Ooh, I love this. But I’d tweak it like this for my group.”

It’s hands-on. It’s interactive. And it’s filled with opportunities to learn from other connectors’ brilliance while experimenting with new ideas yourself.

How the Connectors Summit Will Blow Your Mind

If the idea of:

  • A sanctuary of amazing people
  • A skills lab to prioritize your learning
  • A sandbox to network, experiment, and play

…resonates with you, then the Connectors Summit will be your jam.

At our last Summit, we wrapped up with a collaborative book-writing experience. By the next morning, attendees had co-authored Connector’s Blueprint, a book they could hold in their hands. At the closing session, I asked, “How many of you would come back next year?” 98% of people immediately said, “Yes. I’m in.”

That’s powerful feedback. And it shows the Connectors Summit isn’t just another event—it’s a transformational experience.

If this blog held your attention to the end, I can guarantee the Connectors Summit will blow your mind. I can’t wait to see you there.
