The Conversational Lottery
When you buy a Powerball ticket, you could win $20—or—you could win a billion dollars (which happened a couple weeks ago 🤯).
Similarly, in conversation, you could leave a chat with a new perspective—or—you could have a career shifting conversation that helps you land a dream job.
You could bump into somebody who shares your passion—or—you could sit down next to somebody who has a solution to the problem that has been annoying you for a decade.
And if you want to elevate the quality and quantity of connections at your next event, consider introducing people to this idea of the “conversational lottery.”
Watch this week’s video to see how I framed this exercise for for 3000 folks running credit unions and banks all around the country! Working with a finance oriented audience inspired me to develop this metaphor. I hope it is just as useful to you as it is to them.
